In the late 1950's Elvis purchased his motorcycles from Tommy Taylor's Memphis Harley Davidson Company, located at 235 Poplar Avenue. it was owned by Benjamin W. Barfield, the company President. Vice President was Carl C. Beard and Secretary/ Treasure was Mrs. Louise Strickland. The company's telephone number was 5-5115.  |
